Blay and Associates, Accra, Ghana

Blay & Associates was originally incorporated in 1926 by Hon. R.S. Blay as one of the first Ghanaian run law chambers in Ghana. Today, Blay & Associates is headed by a group of partners that includes a former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, former Deputy Attorney-General, Law Professors and an excellent legal team.

A fundamental element of our litigation advice includes advising clients on how to fulfill their obligations to resolve disputes through alternative methods.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is no longer just a compelling alternative to litigation. ADR is an obligatory consideration in the pursuit of claims before the courts. At the earliest stages of commercial conflict our lawyers assess opportunities for delivering the commercial benefits that the ADR process can bring, over and above the fulfillment of legal obligations.

Blay & Associates, is one of the oldest law firms in Ghana. The distinguished ‘Alumni’ of Blay & Associates includes the late Supreme Court Justice Amoah Sekyi, Justice Idrisu Mahamma, Justice Alex Owusu Ofori, The Hon. Freddie Blay, (former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament), Lucie Blay, (member of the 1979 Constituent Assembly and former Deputy Minister of Trade), Ebeneza Kobena Fosu ( former Minister), and many more.
